![]() FileTrans allegedly translates entire files, but when we tried it the file that was supposed to contain the results was empty. This worked smoothly, but some of the very simple words that we used in the test text didn't translate at all. ![]() ClipTrans, for example, automatically translates any text that is copied into the clipboard. Once we finally figured out what each utility did, we gave them a try, with mixed results. The only way to figure out what each one did was to visit all five of the online Help files. And opening each one revealed interfaces with absolutely no direction. Do you have any idea what any of these do? Neither did we. The program is composed of five different utilities, ClipTrans, FileTrans, LogoTrans, and MirrorTrans. This suite of translation utilities allows users multiple ways to translate text on their computers, but the way the program is laid out makes it utterly frustrating to use. LEC Translate DotNet is one such program. Occasionally we come across a program that has the potential to be really great but is ruined by a terrible interface.
